Welridge Residents' Association was founded in March 1997, and has been affiliated to the Honeydew Community Police Forum since then.
The WRA area includes over 750 houses and 3 Townhouse Complexes within an area bordered by John Vorster Rd, Jim Fouche Rd, JG Strydom Rd, Dale Lace Avenue which becomes Bloekom Drive.

- To secure our area with a patrolling vehicle manned by two Police Reservists, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. This car was in CPF/Police colours - capital and running costs and expense budget in excess of R2M.
- To continue to recruit residents to support our efforts.
- Re-opening of the Operations Room at the Honeydew Police Station - R20,000.
- Erection of Palisade Fencing at the greenbelt bordering Jim Fouche Rd, and at two vacant stands in Cockspur Rd _ R28,000
- Organising our FUN DAYS at the Weltevreden park Primary School.
- Monthly contributions to our Community Police Forum. We now contribute R2,000 per month.
- Mapping of your Welridge Residents' Association area.
- Organising the clean-up of our greenbelt: Financing equipment and first year's operation costs - R160,000.
- Registration of the Welridge Residents' Association at the Local Integrated Development Plan for the area represented by WRA. This move was necessary to ensure that our greenbelt will not be used for allocating this area for low cost housing.
- DCS - R60,000 per month before the next increase.
- Greenbelt - R10,000 per month.
- CPF - R2,000 per month.
